Centerstone Crisis Services contracted with DCDHS to deliver a report outlining recommendations for the most efficient and effective way to organize mobile crisis resources to ensure optimal crisis responses 24 hours per day 7 days per week in the urban and the rural areas of Dane County.
The Behavioral Health Resource Center (BHRC) is a voluntary person and family centered service designed to help all Dane County residents access behavioral health services in Dane County, regardless of insurance status, financial status, age, identity, ability or legal status. The BHRC opened in November of 2020.
Building Bridges is a 90-day mental health program for Dane County school district students in 4K through 8th grade and their parents. This report provides information about program utilization and impact.
The Child Protective Services (CPS) Dashboard is a document that provides a high-level view of the CPS and Child Welfare work that is occurring in Dane County. The Dashboard is updated on a monthly basis and compares data from the previous year to the current year. Workload measures such as the number of Access Reports received and then Screened-in, are included, as well as outcome measures such as the Initial Assessment (IA) Timeliness and Substantiation Recurrence Rate. The data sources for the Dashboard are three separate reports from the Wisconsin Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System (eWiSACWIS), along with additional variables that are appended onto these reports.
Our hope is that this document can inform the CPS Unit, community partners, and the public about what is happening in the county's efforts related to Child Protective Services and Child Welfare.
Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) is a voluntary, community-based program to assist clients with mental health and/or substance use conditions to achieve their highest possible level of independent functioning, stability, and independence. This report summarizes results from surveys assessing consumer satisfaction and progress towards desired outcomes.
Dane County Department of Human Services contracted with RI International (RI) in 2021 to provide consultation, assessment, analysis, and recommendations to develop a plan for the implementation of a Crisis Triage Center in Dane County. The report and its 14 recommendations reflect the work RI did to study the existing crisis care continuum in Dane County and complete a comparative analysis of the current crisis response system against best practices. The report recommends an implementation plan for the development of a Crisis Triage Center (CTC). The report also projects the anticipated impact that the CTC will have on the entire crisis response system and suggests the crisis response redesign that will be required to both address this impact and to optimize the system as a whole.
Dane County Department of Human Services contracted with The University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Population Health Institute (UW-PHI) to assess the feasibility of implementing a Mental Health Court in Dane County. UW-PHI conducted a literature review of best practices, assessed the degree of need for a Mental Health Court in Dane County, and assessed the interest and readiness for a Mental Health Court in Dane County. The report provides an overview of Mental Health Courts across the nation, considerations for implementing a Mental Health Court in Dane County, and provides recommendations and next steps for implementing a Mental Health Court in Dane County.
This report presents the findings from the administration of the MHSIP (Mental Health Statistics Improvement Project) survey to clients who received publicly funded mental health services.
The Mental Health Outcome Indicators report provides information on key outcomes for persons with a mental illness who are served by the Dane County Mental Health system. Data is presented for select agencies/programs on their clients who, at the time of admission to the county mental health system, are considered to need ongoing services either on a high-intensity basis (H) or low-intensity basis (L).
The turnovers and departures report presents annual turnover and departure rates for DCDHS, organized by Division, race and ethnicity, and specific job titles. The DCDHS Demographic reports summarize information about DCDHS employee race, ethnicity, age, and tenure.
